The Cricket World Cup starts on October 5 and Pakistan's first match against Netherlands is on October 6.
Both teams have only played at World Cups and neutral venues since 2013 due to political tensions.
"Pakistan has consistently maintained that sports should not be mixed with politics," Pakistan's foreign ministry said in a statement.
The Asian Cup will be played on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
"Pakistan believes that the state of bilateral relations with India should not be an obstacle to fulfilling its international sports-related obligations," the statement said.
The neighbors have fought three wars and had several military clashes in recent years. Both control parts of the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir, but claim it as a whole. He said Pakistan was "deeply concerned" about security, adding: "We will take these concerns to the International Cricket Council and the Indian authorities. "We look forward to full security for the Pakistan cricket team during their visit to India."
However, the statement did not confirm whether Pakistan are happy to play India in Ahmedabad on October 15 as planned or whether they will request a change of venue.
