The announced squad includes the return of former captain Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, while fast bowler Haris Rauf has not been included in the team this time.
The squad was unveiled during a press conference held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, which was attended by PCB Director High Performance Aqib Javed, T20 captain Salman Ali Agha and white-ball head coach Michael Hesson.
Faheem Ashraf, Khawaja Muhammad Nafi, Muhammad Salman Mirza, Sahibzada Farhan and Usman Tariq have got the opportunity to play in a major international tournament for the first time in the selected squad led by Salman Ali Agha.
The squad includes nine players who have previous T20 World Cup experience, including Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah.
The 20-team tournament will run from February 7 to March 8. Pakistan is in Group A and will begin its World Cup journey with a match against the Netherlands in Colombo on February 7.
Before the World Cup, the Pakistan team will play a three-match T20 series against Australia, which will be held on January 29 and 31 and February 1 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

On the other hand, the ICC has announced that the T20 World Cup will be played without the participation of Bangladesh, which has been replaced by Scotland.
Expressing reservations over this decision, Pakistan's Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that all countries should be treated equally in international cricket.
