Nowhere in the country today was the sighting of the moon of Muharram-ul-Haram, therefore the 1st of Muharram-ul-Haram 1446 AH will be on Monday, July 8.
The meeting of the central Sighting Hilal Committee was held in Quetta after sunset today, which was chaired by the Chairman of the Central Sighting Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced that the moon of Muharram has not been seen and the 1st of Muharram will be on July 8, Monday.
While 9th and 10th of Muharram will be on 16th (Tuesday) and 17th July (Wednesday) respectively.
The Chairman of the Central Royat Hilal Committee, while holding a press conference after the meeting, announced that Ashura Day will be on July 17, Wednesday.
Earlier, the meteorological department had predicted that the chances of seeing the moon of Muharram today are very low.
