Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, said that the Pakistani team will not receive special treatment.
"For us, Pak Team is as important as any other team.
There is no special treatment, adequate protection is provided anytime and anywhere," the official said.
At the end of last week, the government of Pakistan gave the green signal to the national team to participate in the World Cup held in India in October-November this year.
"Pakistan has consistently advocated that sports should not be mixed with politics. Hence, it has decided to send its cricket team to India to participate in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023," the Ministry of External Affairs said in a press release.
