'Beep Pakistan': Alternative WhatsApp messaging app launched in Pakistan

 Pakistan government now has another launched chat room which is very secure for file and data sharing.

An application called Beep Pakistan was launched to secure communication between government employees in the first phase. Initially, the chat will offer features such as voice and video calling and video conferencing. 

IT Minister Amin ul Haque said the day is an important milestone for the IT industry. Government employees use Beep Pakistan for internal communication between IT Ministry and NITB. 

The government planned to extend the request to all ministries in the coming months. And then the app will be available to people across the country. The minister compared the new app with alternative apps used in India and Bangladesh. Calling it a secure platform, he said its server and source code are located in Pakistan.

Haque further revealed that more than 80 new projects costing 77 billion rupees have been commissioned in Pakistan.
